The Masterclass Series
The Sudgen Masterclass series presents the full magic and emotion of music. A totally complete and involving series where the technology and techniques have been subjected to hours and hours of soul searching to develop the ultimate musical performance.
The Masterclass units are all predominantly cased in aluminium expertly engineered and manufactured by our own skilled workforce. Cases which are designed to enhance performance, improve longevity and safely house the long life gold plated circuit boards. From input to output, including the user interface, all models are assembled in our premises using the highest grade of components.

Phono-Amplifier
An amplifier of the most extreme sensitivity with separate moving coil and moving magnet/RIAA gain stages. Facilities include two moving coil stereo input pairs, with variable impedance loading and a single pair of moving magnet inputs. These facilities are selected through precision relays operated via front fascia mounted switches. Designed with a tremendously high headroom they can accomodate cartridges of the most extreme output characteristics.
CD Player
A CD player housing the highest form of digital processing with multi-bit conversion of the digital format to analogue signal. Discreet component Class A output circuitry gives the most sensitive treatment of the signal to recreate an 'absolutely analogue' musical performance.
Pre-Amplifier
The central control unit of the Masterclass series, user friendly and sonically pure. A true dual monobloc design with two power transformers and current shunt power supply. Capable of the fastest transients and most powerful crescendos - true musical empathy. Virtual transformer balanced circuitry is included for optional, balanced inputs and output signals.
Power Amplifiers
The Masterclass power amplifiers are natural wide bandwidth transducers which receive the presented signals and convert them without loss in a myriad of musical splendour. A complete musical structure, wonderfully dynamic, sensitive, and euphonic housed in a three dimensional sound stage where you can almost touch the instruments. The balanced mono blocks can provide a truly remarkable reconstruction and the ambience of the original recording venue.
Integrated Amplifier
A large integrated, pure Class A, solid state power amplifier which can project and fill the an enormous holographic sound stage with music. An extraordinary, organic, euphonic, acoustic performance from an integrated source. This ambitious concept of amplification combines a wide bandwidth state of the art preamplifier with an ultimate development of the original Sugden A21 pure Class A power stages.
