Product News
A21SE
The award winning A21SE integrated amplifier has recently been upgraded with the addition of a rear panel LTVS socket. This low tension voltage provides a high current 18 volt single ended power supply via three pin socket for the Stage One phono socket. For further details see our A21SE product range.
CD21SE Compact Disc Player
The CD21SE is a dedicated compact disc player featuring a high quality CD transport mechanism and laser assembly. This guarantees compatibility with Red Book standard audio discs and provides the best possible sound quality and technical performance for CD replay. The heavy weight construction follows the simplistic lines of the A21SE integrated amplifier and creates a true high-end feel and appearance. There are a total of seven regulated power supplies employed for analogue and digital circuits, each having a separate winding from an audio grade mains transformer. The converter is a DAC 7 single/multi-bit device with four times oversampling. This has been chosen for its analogue presentation and detail. The analogue output stage is a low impedance cascode current circuit with zero feedback.
Bijou Phono Amplifier
Long awaited by Sugden bijou owners and vinyl users, the Bijou phono amplifier will enter into production over the summer. Housed in the now familiar heavyweight titanium case, the new phono amplifier is of an identical footprint to the other Bijou components.
Inputs cater for both MM and MC cartridges with the capability for loading the MC input to suit your cartridge or the recording as required. Loading plugs are supplied to offer easy external adjustment with settings for 100 Ohm, 470 Ohm and 470K Ohm. Selection for MM or MC gain is relay controlled by a front panel control. Separate circuit boards are employed for the high gain circuits and regulated power supply. Internal signal wiring will be silver PTFE coated.
The retail price will be set below the Headmaster offering both value for money and high performance.
